Episode #13: Dialogue

Sorry about disappearing for a week. I'm back!. I took some time off from pretty much everything except work to recharge and revitalize. A writer needs some 'me' time to you know.

Got one rejection last week. I'll talk about that. Astel is off to another press.

Now that we've got our exercise story going, we're moving on to dialogue. Let's get our characters talking and thinking. Inner monologue is just as important as external dialogue.

Be sure to drop me a note or comment and tell me what you think. MP3 comments in e-mail are also welcome. Tell me I'm right, tell me I'm wrong, tell me you just don't care. Just tell me.

Episode #12: Setting

Last week I gave the second part of the exercise and we're working on setting. I'll read mine first, and then we'll talk about setting.

Nothing to report this week as far a publications go, but I'm a writting fiend.

This week's exercise, you've got a character, a setting, now have them interact with someone and follow the dialogue and inner-dialogue of your character.

The two latest antholigies I'm submitting to:

Episode #11: Characters

I'm using the exercise from last week for today's topic. Last week I gave the exercise of 400-500 words to create a character. So let's talk about that.

I'm getting a lot of writing done, just not on my WIP.

This week's exercise, put the character you described last week into a setting.

Oh! And thank you to Mur for playing my promo on ISBW
